Second Transnational Meeting in Almeirim, Portugal: The EU-CERT – Accreditation Conference!

The EU-CERT project reached another milestone with its second transnational meeting held in Almeirim, Portugal on Thursday, October 27th, 2022. Partners  convened to discuss progress, share insights, and plan next steps for this innovative initiative aimed at enhancing quality in adult education.

The meeting commenced with a warm welcome from RUTIS, setting the tone for collaborative discussions ahead. Partners were briefed on the agenda for the day, ensuring clarity and alignment on meeting objectives.

UPB provided an overview of the current status of the EU-CERT project, covering its rationale, purpose, core ideas, and aims. Partners gained insights into their roles as outlined in the project proposal, as well as an overview of project results and linkages. Discussions and Q&A sessions enriched understanding and fostered engagement among participants.

Insights into the first project result (PR1) on research related to quality criteria, accreditation, and certificate structures were shared by UPB, followed by partner presentations on their current work in this area. Each partner provided valuable insights into the national status of EU-CERT and ongoing activities related to PR1, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of project progress.

After a well-deserved lunch break, discussions continued with insights into ideas for the accreditation and certification concept, led by UPB. Partners engaged in fruitful discussions on the concept, offering valuable input and perspectives to shape the direction of the project.

Further discussions centered on the accreditation website and database design and programming, as well as administrative and financial information. Partners collaborated on project management structures, documentary requirements, and online finance and project management tools, ensuring effective coordination and transparency.

The meeting concluded with a focus on dissemination and exploitation strategies, highlighting the importance of communication and outreach efforts to maximize project impact. Partners shared ideas for the EU-CERT project website, social media presence, publications, and valorization plan, emphasizing the importance of sharing project outcomes with a wider audience.

As the day came to a close, participants gathered for a social dinner, providing an opportunity for networking and building camaraderie outside the meeting room.

The second transnational meeting in Almeirim, Portugal was a testament to the commitment and collaboration of all partners involved in the EU-CERT project. With shared dedication and determination, the project is on track to make a significant impact in the field of adult education across Europe.
